X50's price (Canada / US)

This probably doesn't affect many of you since you already own your Axims... but to anyone shopping out there, have you noticed how much more expensive the X50 is in Canada?

We're talking about the same product, sold directly by the same company.

Dell US is offering free shipping right now and 10% off all X50s.

Dell Canada is not offering any discounts and shipping has been REDUCED to $10 for a limited time (usually it's $25).

Adjusting for the exchange rate, the X50 costs about 20-25% more in Canada than it does in the US.

The X50v is regular $499 USD at Dell.com - at todays exchange rate (1.2383) that's 617.91 CDN. Dell.ca charges $649 CDN. Dell.com is offering 15% off right now and free shipping. When I ordered my X50v through Dell.ca, I called rather than order over the web. After some dickering they gave me 15% off the X50v, an extra battery, 1GB SD, and 2 year warranty/care (and free shipping). You just have to call and swing a deal.

I paid $350 for my x50v -- Through the Dell Outlet.

I got a "refurbished" unit. Basically it is a new unit that someone returned. They clear it out, test it, and you get all the materials, at a substantial savings.

And it comes with the same warranty!
