I've just purchased an unlocked phone for use on the Cingular network. My GSM connection works fine. I was also able to establish a GPRS/WAP connection to the internet. The documentation for Cingular was confusing. They show two ways of creating connections. One requires a telephone number i.e. #9.... the other doesnt' ask for a number. I see that when I create new connections I can select either Cellular (which asks for a number) or Cellular(GPRS) which doesn't. Can someone explain the difference? Cingluar was trying to tell me tha the first type of connection is used with a Data plan and the second with Media works. Non of it makes sense to me.
