I have a jornada 728. I use wi-Fi. I do not know anything about the security measures that I should take when online with my HPC.

Are there things that I should/could do to make my device more secure? Along the same line, I am also concerned that I am exposing my desktop (to risks from the Jornada) during ActiveSync.

On the desktop, I have ZoneAlarm Pro, Norton Antivirus, Ad-Aware, and Spybot. What do I need for the Jornada?

Thanks in advance.

You may also want to check out http://www.airscanner.com/tests/ie_flaw/ie_attack.htm and the corresponding Airscanner PPC firewall.

Personally I still think the biggest threat to security on a PPC is actually losing the device. I keep all my important stuff encrypted in my eWallet (http://www.illiumsoftware.com) and have a password set on the device.

Everything secure on your SD or CF card in case the spring fires it 10 feet up in the air when you're not looking ?

And you would be right: According to the Register some 5,838 PDAs are officially lost in taxi cabs in London alone in the last six months! http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/01/25/taxi_survey/
