I was wondering if there was any way I could use a CF or SD card for swap space. I would like to have more RAM than is built-in and wanted to know if this was possible. Thanks in advance.

You cant have more than the 64 or 128Mb built in to your device available as RAM, but you can maximise this by installing all your apps to SD or CF card, moving your e-mail and internet temporary files to storage card and at the extreme side moving your dll's to storage.

Tweaks2k2 makes doing most of these tweaks easier, and when installing apps you can normally choose where to install them.

What kind of device do you have and why do you need more ram?

In general, if you do what Surur said (installing almost all your programs / moving all DLL's to storage / mve your PIE cache to a fast card (see http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36376 for more info on this) ), you won't really run into problems, not even on 64M RAM devices. It's only at extreme cases (e.g., editing and resaving 14+ Mpixel images on your PDA with e.g. Pictures) that you'll need more memory. Otherwise, it's very rarely that you do need more than 50 Mbytes of FREE RAM.

Thanks for your help. I didn't know it was possible to put DLLs on an external card.
