I'm looking for a software that will allow me to record audio with my Ipaq, for a longer period of time, so directly to memory card.

Quality should be good for clear and recognisable voices in conversation.

It would be nice if it would be possible to switch off the screen so when the PPC is on the table, people do not see it's recording audio. Very good for recording conversations you need proof of later.

Freeware or pay+download, as I need it very soon.

Thx for any tips in advance!

You may want to read http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36508 . You'll find all the necessary info there on the various sound recording programs.

For switching off the screen, of the numerous programs, I recommend ScreenLock ( http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/screenlockforpocketpc.shtml ) because it won't let the PDA show the screen until you press the right buttons. Other screenoff apps switch the screen on on any key, which you may not want ;)

Forgot to mention that if you go for a non-NoteM-solution (Resco or VITO), you won't need a separate screenoff utility, because they both support switching off the screen during recording. (I'd go for NoteM, however: except for voice activation, it's way better at recording than any of the alternatives.)
