Solutions for getting the linksys Bluetooth adapter to work with SP2

I f you have a linksys USB bluettoth adapter and updated windows to SP2 and lost the funtionality of linksys firmware here is what to do:

I dont know if this is old news but I spent some time trying to get it to work under the SP2 drivers and gave up.
