Headphone jack repaired by HP, Now MSN wont log on????

I had a problem with my HP4150 - left earphone not working. So sent it back to HP for repairing. It came back fixed. But now I cant log onto MSN messager as it says service is unavalible! Ive try installing latest Rom 1.10.03 which I was using before fine but no good :( also MSN update on Microsoft site... no good.

I can surf web fine on wifi tho :(

Please help :( It is most likel;y the fact that they changed MSN and you need the new client for it.

It's too bad that the jabber freebie is over...it is an app I highly recommend.

Client just means software/hardware used by the consumer...you. You tried that already, I missed that at first. Try reinstalling it and see if it works

OIC - I missed that part. BTW, I too have encountered this situation several times on my PL720 (which in-ROM has the latest version): it just woulnd't connect. Once a Jabber client (imov Messenger v1.16e) has turned out to be the problem - after uninstalling it, MSN Messenger worked again.

I another case, it just stopped working, and only a hard reset helped. after that, MSN worked like a champion again.

BTW, Agile Messenger ( http://www.freewareppc.com/communication/agilemessenger.shtml ) seems to be a decent MSN Messenger alternative too.
