Went to a book signing for my favorite TV celebrity tonight. :)

I am jealous, kind of...

:werenotworthy: I would love to meet him :werenotworthy:

But in all honesty, I don't think I would want any of his books. Well, I guess I would if it was signed.

Good Eats (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_ea) is one of the most entertaining shows on TV (IMHO) and he seems like he would be a fun guy to talk to.

Did you get to talk with him at all?

Alton Brown (http://www.altonbrown.com/) rules :rock on dude!:

You can trace back Kati's fascination (too strong a word?) with Alton Brown from this thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=19214)

Like I said:

I haven't watched Iron Chef America (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_ia) yet, but I would guess that he would make that pretty entertaining as well.

Just while he was signing my books. But he did a Q&A session beforehand where he took questions from the audience. He was very funny.

As for my fascination... was I that obvious? 8O

;)

I've not heared so much about him here in Sweden. What kind of books does he write?

He's really a TV chef, and from that has written a number of cooking books. They're all very interesting reads - he goes into the science of cooking far more than any other chef. He's also very funny.

That is awesome beyond words. He's coming to Austin on the 30th, and I'm planning on making the three-hour voyage down their with my significant other to get a book signing.

Oh and any loyal Good Eats viewer will recognize my kosher-salt-filled salt cellar (shown with my other must-have recipe devices):

Hopefully in two weeks, I'll be able to add my own picture with that Culinary Mr. Wizard, Alton Brown.
