However, some users were experiencing problems with the new updates, so the developers set off to have these corrected. A couple of days ago, a second set of newer updates were released. So for those of you who were experiencing problems before, hopefully these new updates will help resolve it. You can download them here.

Installed the new version and like it. Does anybody know what the "Initial transaction position feature" is?

Perfect timing! I did something to ActiveSync a while ago that caused it to lose the Spb Finance item. Rather than downloading the same version and reinstalling to correct the issue, I now get to upgrade. :)

Ok, I figured it out. The reinstall left all but my register sort order intact.
Testing the sync to money; it seems that my old issues have now been corrected. A transaction with a new category required 2 syncs in the past now all sync up on the first try.
Great job Spb.

Hmmm - for those interested, "Import from Money (Pocket PC)" seems to be a new feature. ;)

Thanks a lot for the update :) I've been using the Money Edition for reviewing purposes (working together with MS Money 2005 desktop) and I'm loving it :D Sync's directly with money effortlessly and has all the features that the Money ppc plugin should have.

p.s. I also have to admit some serious pleasure in finally getting rid of the horribly limited MS Money plugin

 It syncs A/R accounts! Now I can have my invoices with me again, wherever I go! :D

PocketQuicken has always done that but I decided to switch to Spb Finace last rebuild

Spb Launch new versions of Finance yesterday. I noticed that a minor issue I had with 1.1 Money Ed. has been corrected in 1.2. Anybody know what else has changed?

The primary change is full support for integration with Pocket Plus, but as always, there are bug fixes in this new version (I don't have the list on me at the moment).

Thanks for the info. Just got that email too. After working with it for a day or so now I see all the minor issues I had are now gone. Since the bugs are worked out does this mean it's time to add more features? :D

I'm sure you know with all software, not every single bug is eliminated (new ones surface from time to time, old ones remain hidden), but yes, new features are always a good idea, so they may be implemented in future releases. We'll see... ;)

somehow after 1.7 -> 1.8 upgrade none of the reports work (it just hangs forever and crashes if you press ok), everything else including Plus integration works fine. writes last transactions even when you exit right away, so this annoyance has been fixed, good.

but the new one is worse :) is it me or anybody else with a medium-sized database has the same problem? (mine is at about 100 transactions only, 25Kb).

exact same problem here. it is as if the reports no longer have a default view. i got them to work after changing them to what they used to be. only had to crash the program a few times. :)

Welcome Kuklovod. :) Sorry to hear you are having problems. The Money edition is giving me a few difficulties as well. Let hope Spb have a successful bug stomping session.

It's great to see Spb's commitment to improving thier products! There have been quite a few updates lately though, so I hope we will be entering a period of stability soon. :)

I tried the enw Quicken edition yesterday but it messed up my Pocket Plus tabs. I was no longer able to have any other Spb products as tabs in it. I had to uninstall Finance, reinstall Pocket Plus, Weather, GPRS Monitor and the older version of Finance to get tab support for all those products back.
