x50v Serious problems

I just purchased a x50v and it has been nothing but trouble, first of all most games, like Snails, Gilbert Goodmate and Age Of Empires won't load at all.
The screen freezes, the Start label changes to that of the full screen program and I have to do a soft reset :evil: IT'S A WORSE PURCHASE THAN ANY QVGA DEVICE!

Go to www.aximsite.com. Go to the forum section. There's a great community there that will help you with all your problems aswell as link on the forum for user modified video driver that will let you play all those games.

Sorry you feel that way. Most of us are very happy with our X50vs. For your games, have you tried the X50v GAPI tweak?

Someone on Aximsite.com mentioned Gilbert Goodmate works with picard's X50v GAPI tweak. Good news for me because I like the game.

Any luck with that tweak IceCaveman? Here's a link (http://leggnet.com/emulamer/old/). And the history of the changes is over at that other site mentioned in this thread. Tweaked is a good keyword if you do a serach there.

Ys thank you, now I'm happy with my PDA, except I hate that tweak isn't automatic :( not good when showing the PDA to people to try to impress them they think everything is a hack.

Well you can just leave it on. No one needs to know and you can help them out with their problem if they do decide to buy one after seeing yours. The only time you might have to turn it off is if you buy a newer game and it won't load, but that won't happen very often.

That page contains several folders and I'm not sure what to download or do. Can you give me some guidance?

Download and run the x50vgapi.setup.1.11.exe file. That'll walk you through it.

While you're at it, if you're interested in toys for the X50v, you should check out BetaPlayer. It supports hardware video decoding using the X50v's graphics chip.

X50mix is a hardware equalizer for the X50v and mid. No one with a basic has reported trying it yet. Works great. Sort of like ipaq audio but with more features.
