Japan To Get 100Mbps "Super 3G" By 2008

Wow, and we here in the US haven't reached 1mbps (at least in the area I live in).

For all the examples of expense, living in Japan has some advantages. It is very advance in regards to high speed internet. I have 100meg access at home and 3G (384/64) access on my mobile.

What I am looking forward to is a reduction of costs on the mobile side, however now you the carries are starting to bring out fixed price offerings which make it much more attractive....

I must say it amazes me in regards to some of the carriers that I see overseas only offering 1 / 2 meg - I feel sorry for their customers. We have DSL offerings upto 40meg over cable so the technology is certainly there for customers to have faster access....

Man, we only have 5mbps here at home with Time Warner. You can get 8mbps but it costs extra.

Just did a quick test, to the local NTT server I get 65meg throughput and to the dsl reports in the US I get 4meg throughput...
