Any suggestions for some troubleshooting to wirelessly sync? I used to be able to but for some reason I am having troubles. I keep getting an error message that reads I need to verify my dialup or proxy settings. Well I don't dial up and I don't have a proxy. Ugh. I am otherwise able to browse the net and check email via my network, just not able to sync.

http://www.cewindows.net/faqs/activesync/firewallproxy.htm#Firewall%20and%20Proxy%20Issues - checked this out?

It is BT or Wi-Fi-based connection, btw? For the former, I also recomment http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=3163 and http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=1423 .

I couldn't sync until I entered the PC's IP address in the WINS field (though I am not using WINS). This was Win98 and I have not tried without WINS on XP (my motto: when you have something that works, don't touch it!).

Try changing it from INTERNET to WORK in the Connection Manager, or vice versa. The funny thing about wireless sync is that it either works easily, or it's a complete bastard to get working - there's no middle ground. Myself, I turn on the WiFi, put in my WEP key, and click sync - and it works. It used to be much, much worse... 8O

Switching from Internet to Work. I had tried that before but for some reason this was the magic time I guess. Thanks everyone! I love these forums, they are such a great place for info and advice.
