Funny you say that. I get 1500 minutes a month on my employee plan, which is great. But I only use about 300 minutes.

Now text messages? Probably in the neighborhood of 400 or so.

I'd say the more technically inclined you are, the more likely you are to use lots of text messaging / data as opposed to making a call. Anyone else think that's the case also?

I'd think so too. I tend to SMS and use the data services a lot more!

I must say though, this is probably the only bluetooth headset I'd get. I don't care what other people say about other headsets, especially the Jabra ones; they all scream "I'm a moron!" to me when they're worn.

I'd prefer to use text\data more. Especially being that I walk with a 50v....blackberry 7290 and a mpx220! But the people around me like to talk on the phone more. So I guess its my company holding me back. But I'd much rather user text or e-mail.

I Never really thought I would use it but I use my AX all the time now. Its grea to have 2 hands to work with whil holding a conversation. ;)

Pro: use your own favorite earbud, headset, etc...beside the provided necklace earbuds; Listen to the MP3, WMA, FM..Podcast, etc.. (internal 256MB + SD slot) and automatically switch to phone when call comes in and switch back when you are done. Very discret when you wear under your shirt, no blinking blue light, The mic is very sensitive to capture your voice and no wind noise at all for outdoor - Since you have 2 earbuds the receiving sound is very clear as well. Battery is Li-On and large...

The bigger, clunkier headsets do look a little silly. Nextlink has done a fantastic job of making their earpieces compact and attractive - better than anything else out there.

I own a Digital Bluespoon Gold and I like it, but I can't wait to get my hands on the very soon to be released 5G!!! You think the AX is small, this thing is absolutely the smallest BT-enabled earpiece on earth! :) Nextlink are a group of amazing people. They really put out some great product.

I just got my AX on monday and can comment on it at length. I originally had a SE HBH-65 which I was moderately satisfied with, then a HBH-660 which I was very satisfied with.

When I first used the AX there was a ton of static, but a repairing fixed that. The sound quality outgoing is extremely good, many dont even know I am on a headset. Incoming call quality is very good, but not as good at the 660.

One of my gripes though is that every time you disconnect and reconnect the phone (not pairing, just turning bluetooth on and off), you have to put the volume up again, there is no memory for the last volume setting.

Another gripe is that the range is very short, and if you have your phone in your pocket more than likely you will get some static. But if your phone is out of your pocket and close by the sound quality is great and there is no static.

Physically it fits great in the ear, maybe too great, because of the design it really muffles outside sounds to that ear. This is a benefit for incoming voice, but kind of weird when walking around and talking to people. Overall it is quite comfortable and light and looks way way better than my old SE hbh660 which got lots of looks.

Not sure if this is a gripe, but when connected the ax flashes blue every 5 or so seconds, kind of cool, but also catches attention at night.

Overall I am quite satisfied with this headset and would highly recommend it. Especially since they are actually quite reasonably priced. I picked mine up for like 90 bucks.

Seing the reviews linked here (and the price) makes me think that the printed ad for the AX in the local supermarket might not have been a mistake. It was sold for 73 dollars. My current Jabra 200 sells for 110 here in denmark so my brain just told me it was plain wrong. Guess not...
I think I'll go shopping tomorrow. :D

I can live with it, though. I get a kick from watching the looks on certain peoples' faces who might think I'm talking to myself. :lol:

The 5G looks good too. I like the AX because it's small, and fairly cheap too. I recall the Bluespoon Digital version being very expensive.
