Free WebISMail at Handango!

At Handango's weekly software giveaway, they have WebISMail for free (normally $24.95)! It appears to be the full version (unlike other weekly offerings).

I downloaded it too, but am having trouble setting up hotmail and gmail. I didn't have a problem setting it up with PocketHotmail, but I'll be darned if I can figure it out. The WebIS forums aren't much help either.

Anyone get it to work? If so, could you please provide some instructions?

It should always be free. I never had much luck with it. Maybe if they spent a fraction of the amount of time on it as they do putting out countless versions of PI it would work better.

I as well had issues setting up w/ gmail and yahoo. POP worked fine but SMTP kept failing. I resolved this by setting the SMTP serve and specifically entering in the ID/Password and unchecking the use POP settings.. Worked after that. I'm not so thrilled w/ it just yet as I have not found much difference over the inbox thats included w/ PPC

It's much better than the built-in Inbox, especially if you

- have multiple mailboxes (Inbox only allows downloading one mailbox at a time; you have to switch over all of them manually to download them all)
- want to store your mails to storage cards (Inbox doesn't allow this either, except for attachments)
- want to use any kind of SMTP authentication when the username is different than that of your POP3/IMAP account

and so on.

I'm running WebIS Mail, and synching email using IMAP. I can see attachments in WebIS Mail, but can't figure out how to save or view an attachment on my Pocket PC.

How can I view those attachments?
