<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=2184' target='_blank'>http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=2184</a><br /><br /></div><i>"ActiveSync works pretty good on Windows Mobile devices, however synchronizing different folders on your PC or Pocket PC and even hard with your storage card is something ActiveSync doesn't supports - unfortunately. However, Rubber Stamped Data recently released version 2.1 of its "Data Sync" which allows you to sync files and directories (including subdirectories) to and from any location on your mobile device, storage card or PC. It doesn't install any software on the mobile device, instead it runs completely from the PC. The program features a system tray icon and the ability to "auto sync" every time you connect your device. In addition, it also has the ability to sync on a schedule and to download and sync individual files from the web.</i>"<br /><br />I might have to check this out - I ONLY sync files on my Pocket PCs - all tasks and appointments are kept nice and snug in lovely Pocket Informant. As such, I would dearly love to not be presented with the dreaded "Combine 3,213 files with desktop" message again. This looks like it might be able to help with that little problem. What do you think? Has anyone tried this? <a href="http://www.handango.com/ampp/store/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&amp;jid=34C2CXE2D46A933DC6B6DC453A9B77X2&amp;platformId=2&amp;productType=2&amp;productId=146347&amp;sectionId=0&amp;catalog=30&amp;topSectionId=-1">$11.95 at Handango.</a> [Affiliate]

Just tried it. It's an all-or-nothing sync. That is, you have to sync the entire folder. You can't just sync one or a few files within a folder, and it appears to be limited as to the number of folders that you can sync. :( For my money, I prefer MightySync (and it's less expensive). 8)

I want to test one see how easy it would be to sync my podcast onto my Pocket PC...which would you recommend out of these two?

Just use standard WMP10 to sync your Media folders between your PC WMP10 and your PPC w/WMP10 as explained here:

True, RSD Sync does not sync individual files, it syncs all of the files/folders within a directory. It is currently able to sync 6 different directories to and from your pc and mobile device. It does have some features that some of those other software packages may not have.

For instance, RSD Sync can automatically sync periodically (in the background) while you're doing your other work and is accessible through a system tray icon rather then having to be displayed in the main taskbar. May seem like a minor thing, but it really is quite a convenient feature. In addition it has a very straightforward easy to use interface.

I may be a just a little biased though as I am the author ;-). I will look into creating unlimited number of folders to sync and the ability to sync individual files as well within the next release period. It's good to get feedback as it will certainly help to further improve the product in the near future. It's much appreciated!

Mobsync may not be as pretty as this app, but it does work and works well. Did I mention it was free?
