When I use mightysync to sync a data folder, it is changeing the file date to the current date, is there a way to maintain the actual date the file was created? The date is very important, as these are survey data files, and being able to track the date they were created/modified is very important.

thanks,
Michael

I currently use MightySync and have never really been happy with it.

I did just see a post on PPCW.net about another product that I am considering.

Just tried it out.

It seems to change the dates too.

I seems better than MightySync but its also slow. I'll probably try it alittle longer and see if I like it.

When this is an issue for me (PPC, PC, UNIX, etc.) I always embed the date in the file name: e.g., StatusReport_12-22-04.doc You never know what's going to touch a file (TOUCH, archiver, synchronization, etc.). It's the only way I know of to protect the date.
