I have MemMaid and can't decide if I am doing something wrong,
or there is something wrong with my program.

First time I used it no problem. Now when I start the program, I tap on scan and it is showing 176 bytes in IE Cache files, 304 bytes in IE history files and then when I tap on the Clean function it displays the message
"MemMaid Cleaning Progress..." which I thought meant it was cleaning.
But no matter how long I let it run it still shows Total Cleaned at 0.
I also don't know yet if there is a PDF manual to download or just built-in help menus.

Thanks for your reply Wyatt.

Mine has always done the same thing. I just think that there are a few bytes that it isn't supposed to delete.

Thanks. I am glad to hear that.

Do you know if there is supposed to be a downloadable manual for MemMaid?

Love your quote too. I agree a total 100% !

IIRC, there are help files on the Pocket PC. Simply tap on Start > Help, and there should be a MemMaid entry.

By the way, which version of MemMaid are you running? If you haven't yet discovered, v1.4 is out.

Those must be the index.dat (for history and cache).
Those file are always locked by the system (in WM2003).
MemMaid displayes a warnning message if it can't delete files (this message can be turned off from the cleaner options, tap the middle button in the top-right hand corner in the cleaner screen)

And as for the manual, like others said, there is built-in help
You can find the full help/manual file under "\windows\MemMaid.htm"

What is the upgrade procedure?

Do we uninstall the earlier version or can we install over the old version?

-c.

You can install the demo over the version you have (which will save you the effort of re-entering the regestration code).
