Artists against 419 has launch a new "service" called 'The Lad
Vampire.' It refreshes pictures hotlinked from fake banks & lotteries.
By now they have over 2000 fake banks & lotteries in their database
just waiting to be closed, and The Lad Vampire has closed over
200banks. The meaning is to create a mass of traffic on the fake banks
homepage that it will become unreachable. The Lad Vampire is a really
good interactive which anyone should support.

This sounds like the "anti spam screen saver" that was out in beta for about two weeks...but I'm not familiar with "fake banks" and "fake lotteries" - in reading through the news links on that site, it seems like something happening in Europe, but nothing on that site really explains what they are...?

Jason - this refers to the banks behind the Nigerian 419 scams. There's been a number of efforts to use their bandwidth to increase their hosting bills.
