wasn't bejeweled 2 supposed to hit the streets today? hard to find anything (pretty much anywhere) about it... let us know if anyone hears anything.

i may be a total tool but the only one i can find as "now available" on their site is the PC (or "deluxe") version... can you see the pocket PC version there? when i go into the handheld games section for PPC, only the original is listed?

I received an email allowing me to download it on Sunday. So far, it is a more lively version of the original game, and is VERY addicitve. My understanding was that the new version was going to be offered first to those who pre-purchased the game (me!) after which it will be made publicly available.

It was worth the wait, and I'm really enjoying it!

I liked Bejeweled alot... I liked the smooth gameplay... how fast it was... and the large visible pieces... the only thing I missed was after playing Egghead... I missed the diagonal movement...

Which is why I prefer playing Egghead... unfortunately I didn't like the their newer version Eggstreme... and hate the fact that I am stuck playing a slightly buggy free version of Egghead with an advertisement on exiting...

Does the new Bejeweled allow you to move pieces diagonally...??

I pre-ordered it so time ago and downloaded it and installed it yesterday. It is just as go as the original plus some new games. No diagonal movements here or discounts for previous Bejelewed owners. Only the 10% off they were giving for pre-orders.
