Hey All,
I got a nice grant at work to explore the PPC avenue for our company. However as I check out Dell's Web site I notice that I can also add a GPS unit to my Axim X50V for some more $$. Do you think this is worth it? Anyone else have any of the GPS unit's that Dell sells? They are the

PHAROS Pocket GPS Navigator
DELL GPS Navigation System for Dell Axim Bluetooth

Thoughts? Opinons on which one is better? :)

I have the Dell BT GPS and it is very good. They have a map update coming in the spring too. I would recommend getting it.

Nope. If the other brands work by the same BT technology, it should all be compatible, provided there are drivers for the WM2003SE OS.

No need for drivers with a Bluetooth GPS, just instruct the Bluetooth manager to scan for devices, and select a serial port connection to the GPS when it shows up.

Well I would like for it to be one of those two. Since then it can all roll into the same credit card transaction. Here is the page that I was talking about with all the options they try to upsell you to when you buy. Is the Pharos one really that bad? 8O

Basically Pharos has excellent hard ware but the software is crap. The maps are huge, little detail, the interface is simple....Overall useable but there's better...
