I'm bored with my PPC alarm sounds. What are your favorites? Post them here! (Got the OK from the Grande Fromage.) Not trying to do a ring-tone contest but alarms you set for appointment reminders, Alarm Notes, wake-up, etc.

I use "unitjingle.wav" ...I'm not entirely sure where I got it, but it's sort of like the NBC ring sound. (ok, anyone know what I'm talking about?)

It still wakes me up (when the alarm actually works correctly ;)), but it doesn't jolt me awake like the default ones.

I should add, PPC Thoughts subscribers can add sound files to their posts.

I should add, PPC Thoughts subscribers can add sound files to their posts.Others can too, they just have to host it elsewhere. ;)

I'm not sure if this is copyrighted though...hopefully someone else knows what application installed it.

I think it came w/ your PPC. See: http://www.tjotala.com/hardware/storagebrick/tests/fs9061.txt

Then pare the URL down to: http://www.tjotala.com/hardware/storagebrick

Can you post your .wav here?

My favorite is my daughter telling me to wake up. I'll post it over at my site.

The file is now posted over at my site which can be reached on the main page or here http://www.wotsinyourpocket.com/soundsbits/index.htm

My favorite is my daughter telling me to wake up. Now that's funny. I actually did that once with my daughter's recorded voice but it was too weird coming out of a deep sleep thinking she was in the room and I couldn't find her!

I use the kimmunicator sound from Disney's Kim Possible cartoon.

I use the piercingly annoying RED ALERT klaxon from the original Star Trek series. You can't miss it. 8O

I like the ringtones that are posted on smartphonethoughts. My favorite is called something like twisted tornado. I can't remember which group it is from though.

Being unable to subscribe at this time I have a couple of small sound files to share but can't post them. Anyone want 'em emailed to you in trade for your posting them here? Simple, 'businesslike' loud sounds for road warriors. Nothing that would embarrass you if it accidentally went off in an elevator, or in church.

I grabbed a public domain WAV of the soothing sound of crickets chirping and edited it slightly. It's a sound that will get my attention, but if I'm in a meeting or around other people and it goes off, it's not nearly as annoying or embarrassing as some of the alarms (or ringtones) some people use.
