The online software catalog consisting of only best-of-breed applications provides unique, compelling benefits to the software buyers. Users don’t have to search through thousands of applications to find the best and most trusted software; they can now save time while having a great experience. Mobile users can navigate the software catalog by platform, device types or categories and, as more titles are added, they can access the only complete “best of” collection available on the market today. In addition, the excellent customer support is a clear differentiator, because there aren’t many vendors out there offering this level of expertise and service."</i><br /><br />There's a new software site in town, and they're taking a unique approach - stop by for a look.

How do they already have a best seller list if they just openned up?

Are they a front end for maybe a Handango or PocketGear?

Actually they had a beta version of the site up for two weeks. I know this because I bought my photo viewer from them (which is why probably they have a best seller list)

They are an independent company from what I read on their corporate site. :)

They've been running in test mode for a bit I think, so I'm sure the best sellers list will change this month, but surely you don't expect them to launch with a list that's that? ;-) They're definitely not a Handango/PocketGear reseller because their rates are lower for devleopers...

Competition is a good thing! :-)

Absolutely. This is good news for developers.
More distributors/resellers will put pressure on the big existing ones to reduce their commissions when they start seeing developers selling on other different sites

Only time will tell if they will be able to push into the market. It seems like they have a good start and of course developers are also happy to see some more real competition from the distributors side too :)
