Chicago (IL) - Members of a former software cracking group have discovered that audio files created with one of its cracked programs are distributed with each copy of the Windows XP operating system, possibly exposing Microsoft to a large-scale copyright infringement lawsuit.

It seems even Bill Gates likes to save a few bucks here and there.

Yeah - this story's pretty old now...

I don't know if Microsoft is to blame though. It depends on how the files were made. It may have been made inside Microsoft, or Microsoft may have hired another company to create the files. What other companies use as software is beyond Microsoft's control.
