I've awoke to a dead battery in the morning since trying it out on my 2215.
I narrowed it down (I think) to the fact that I have Sprite Backup set to automatically backup overnight and soft-reset when finished. The unit locks up after the soft reset and the battery drains. Another soft reset fixes it.
