Toshiba E310 (only 2 years 3 months old) will not allow the screen taps to function. With password protection I could not even get t the Today screen.

I tried resetting several times and then did a hard reset, still nothing. I then took it apart and put it back together hoping that would solve it. Still nothing.

Is it time to replace or is there something else I can do?

I'd rather wait till after the first of the year, but it may not be possible!

Sounds like the digitizer has died - a place like Pocket PC Techs (www.ppctechs.com) could repair it, but given the cost a new Pocket PC might be in order...

Well, I let the PPC stay in hard reset off mode for several hours, tired it again. Nothing, letf it for some more hours and tried it again and now it works. I imagine it is coming to the end of its life but at least it works for the time being. :|

So Jason, I imagine I am on borrowed time now!

E310, I had this for 11 months and the digitizer was very weak by then. This should be a known issue not sure why no one complained about it.

For what its worth I think its better to get a new PDA.
