It's free! :D

I've spent the last 30 minutes exploring the new features of GSFinder+ and I have to say that this one deserves the thumbs-up. Based on GSFinder (by Y. Nagamidori), this new release offers a host of features. These include: compression capabilities, drag-and-drop functionality, folder trees, tap-and-hold functionality, extension functions, forward and back buttons, network capabilities, memory card detection, automatic refresh, and file search capabilities! Of course, there are a lot more features, but if you want to find out more, I think you should try it out for yourself. :)

Tried out, not bad, but i miss one thing that makes me still use Total Commander CE: the two window layout.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say two window layout. I just loaded it and have no problem getting two windows, just like windows explorer. I find this to be a very well constructed application and easy to use.

If you want a two-window layout, tap View > Folder Tree. From there, you can select between a vertical and horizontal orientation by tapping on Vertical Layout located within the same View menu.

I believe Total Commander's two window layout was actually two separate folders that you could navigate each independantly, rather than a tree view

Hey, this is from the same programmer as the kick-ass music player GSplayer. That's a sterling endorsement right there.

No, i dont mean the folder tree, i mean one file-browsing pane at up, one at down, like on Total Commander PC version (okay, on PC, it is Left and right).

agree with you, the only disadvantage over total commander,
but other than that this program is better than total commander in every aspect. christian(author of TC) has been lazy and havent worked on TC for more than 1 year.
i am a heavy TC user on my desktop for more than 6 years but i am switching to gsfinder+ on my pda

I dont know what Im doing wrong.
I have downloaded the file from the website and saved it to a folder.
When I open it up the only option presented is "do I want to open the file"
When I click "yes" on it, the folder closes.
Where are the instalation instructions?

The file you downloaded is a ZIP file. Extract it using a program such as WinZip or WinRAR, and then copy the relevant CAB file to your Pocket PC. If you have a recent Pocket PC, this will most likely be the GSFinder.PPC_ARM.cab

Tap this on your Pocket PC to install it.

Sorry - I didn't quite get what you were asking? What are these "windows" you're referring to, and is this on your PC or Pocket PC?

After I copied it to my ppc, I open the program by touching the GS icon.
What I get is a two windows. on theright side is the "Tree" and on the left side is a window showing the same folders.Kinda redundant is the best way I can explain it.

This is the folder tree feature of the program. If you only want one window, tap "View", then "Folder Tree", and it should get rid of it.

Also I noticed that I could not access my notes.
I have just removed it from my handheld.
I do thank you for your help though.

Well if you visit the link I made in the news post, you will now see that GSFinder+ has just been updated to v1.01 which makes a few enhancements to the file search function, as well as a few new icons here and there. It's great to see this program receive regular updates.
