Had a strange issue with my 4150 last night. After having been happily browsing wirelessly for about an hour I decided to see what other wifi networks were in the area. I used Boingo and VM Net Browser however after having a good sniff I couldn't turn my wifi off. I couldn't get into the "Network Cards" section either. After a soft reset (or five) I tried taking the battery out for a bit. Still nothing - and that little green led kept blinking.

I ended up having to do a soft reset. Thank you Backup Gods for restoring my ipaq back to how it was the previous morning!

hp ipaq 4150 firmware: 1.10 with the latest wifi driver thingies as per hp website.

I had a similar experience about a week ago. In my case, the problem was memory. The 4150 has a very small amount of RAM available compared to many other PPCs. I cleared the history cache in PIE and permanently deleted the messages in my deleted folder in Inbox, and everything was back to normal.
