Can anyone post some pictures of their x50v with the 2200 mAh battery or point me to a link that has some pics? I'm trying to decide if I want to get a spare 1100 mAh battery or 2200 mAh one. Thanks!

I'll be posting some benchmark results tomorrow. I plan to try and perform the same tests that Jason did with the standard battery.

The 2200 mA battery doesn't add too much depth to the X50v. I weighed with the battery and came up with 7 oz (200 g for those not in the US, or science types)

Yeah, my floppy disks end up being used for coasters so it has a few stains on it. They get kinda ugly.

Haha...I think Fishie's talking about the battery protrusion. :P

I've seen a lot worse looking PDA's with extended batteries. My old Zaurus comes to mind. And then to top off the Zaurus wouldn't fit into the cradle with the battery in place :(

I never did get an extended battery for my 2210, but judging from the pictures of that I doubt it would cradle either.

The X50v on the other hand will fit into the cradle with the extended battery in place.

Not so much the size but the weight. Or have I misunderstood? Do you mean the battery alone weighs 200 g, doc, or the battery on your X50v weighs 200 g all up?

But, I guess if you're away from a charger and need the extended life, it's that or a whole bunch of 1100 mAh ones (and swapping is sometimes not an option), or an even bulkier sled.

Nevertheless, we should archive this post because of the photos of the floppy disk. Wow... remember those....? :)

Sorry, I should've made that more clear. That weight is a total weight. PDA with the extended battery installed.
