Im not sure if im in the right forum, but i want to sync a certain webpage into my pda without avantgo, to be view daily. I want to sync the yahoo comics section so i can view them. Is it possible to do that? Is there a software for it. And i tried avangto but it downloads too much i just want the links to the cartoon and the image. Thanks

I don't know of a way to synchronise just a graphic, but here are two options -- one free, one commercial -- for synchronising pages (apologies if you already know this):

1) "Mobile Favorites".
If you're using a Windows PC and Internet Explorer, you can synchronise any page to your Pocket PC by surfing to the page in Explorer and choosing Favorites/Add to Favorites, and putting a bookmark in the "Mobile Favorites" folder. (You can also customise your toolbar to add the built-in button for making Mobile Favorites.) You can also set specific update times for each Mobile Favorite, but it's a bit involved to get into here.

2) Sunnysoft World Off-Line.
This commercial application synchs more reliably than Mobile Favorites (though less seamless -- your Pocket PC will more obviously be occupied with downloading the pages on ActiveSync), and it also allows you to synchronise the pages from within the Pocket PC itself -- which is handy if you connect to a wireless network.

The first program is part of the Windows OS, and you can find out more about the second at:
http://www.sunnysoft.cz/en_clanek.php?clanekid=98

There was another program that performs this task called Whack Force, but its developer, Ruksun, seems to have abandoned it. I bought it a while back, and it doesn't even install anymore.

Hope that helps!

Oh, here's another option:

If your comic is available as an RSS newsfeed (which many are now), you could use the lovely Egress to subscribe to it.

You can find Egress here:
http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=12324

...or here:

There are also other news aggregator programs for the Pocket PC, but I haven't used them, so I can't attest to what they're like to use:

PocketFeed (freeware):

Newsbreak:

You could also try isilo, a shareware reader that captures html page format extremely well (inc tables, images, etc). (http://www.isilo.com).

Theres a great forum at http://www.mobileread.com where a lot isilo users hang out (as well as the developer), and you can access the wcc there (an isilox file with hundreds of news/info/comic links in it). There are some specific comic threads there too.

iSilo is the reader that handles the content. If you want to convert HTML to be readable within iSilo, you want to use iSiloX. (http://www.isilox.com/) :)
