Yea I would like to know too. I just bought an SD wireless card and would like to stick the a730 in the hard case when I need the PDA and card protected as well.

Porporta is going to release a case by the end of this month and covertec has a plan too.

The best is probably the Brando Case wich is available for 32USD directly in Taiwan (without any Transport cost)

chocorem,

Check out the following - PDA Den carries a couple of different models for the A730, both leather and a neat-looking soft silicon one. I've order two cases from them and I'll post a review when they arrive. The site is:

http://pdaden.com/shop/catalog/category_401_Asus.html (leather)
http://pdaden.com/shop/catalog/cate...Asus_MyPal.html (silicon)

The other option currently available is the Piel Frama leather case for about 60 euros:

Expansys also sells this case as the Chairman's Case for $75US:

I just noticed the PDA Den also offers a custom-fit aluminum case for the A730. To see all the cases they offer for the Asus just go to:

johnmcd,

Have you received your cases yet?

Just wondering, will any of the 'soft' leather or silicon cases still allow room to insert into the cradle when they are on?

Also, any concerns with heat build up with cases? I've never used one before.

zoo99,

The silicone soft case was on backorder, so I had them hold the shipment until both cases I ordered were availabe to save on shipping costs. They should be here in the next few days. As soon as I have them I'll post something.

That aluminum case seems pretty cool--it looks like none of the cases will work with the cradle, though.

Hi, I just ordered the silicone case. Do you have it yet?
What do you think of it?

be careful folks... if you are planning to buy the extended battery, that will change the dimension of your 730(w) and those cases will not fit it anymore.

I have used the soft silicone case for over a week now and posted my impressions here:

I think it's great!

The silicone case' initial static type cling with dust went away, but my screen cover has shown wear/scratch marks. Still thinks it great as a very light case.

OK, I have encountered a problem with the silicon case, and cannot recommend it any longer.
In the long run, nothing will protect better than a metal case.

The problem I have is actually with the flimsy plastic cover, which was nice because it was clear, but is too small & shaped inadequate.
I consider this a major engineering/design flaw

What happened was, that the case is so flexible, that the soft hinges allowed the tiny clear cover to move sideways, to the right, allowing it to slide into the silicone case's screen opening, and then touch and pressure the bottom left corner of the screen.
It does not slide over to the left, because it'sbottom tab prevents it from doing so. It should have had tabs on both sides of the bottom, not just the right side.

Unfortunately, my screen has suffered damage, due to the clear cover squashing the bottom left side and scratching it. One grain of dirt or sand must have been there, causing a deeeep scratch. 8O
Amazingly, the screen still works, no pixel loss, but I that corner is no longer accurate on touch screen.

I have made a solution, to keep using the silicone case, by changing the tiny clear cover, with an old plastic cover from my Casio BE300.
I just snipped the top to make it fit in the soft case hinges.

I'm not shure what I will do now, but I'm feeling basically screwed. :(
