View Full Version : Whats the top 6 most used programs you use on your PPC?

IpaqMan2

Well I haven't used a PPC in several years and am clueless as to what programs are available for it. So I figured I'd ask everyone else what they use.

So my question is:
Whats the top 6 most used programs you use on your PPC?

Thanks.

I've reduced myself down to three.

1. Pocket informant
2. iSilo Reader
3. Skyscape's 5MCC 2004

The three best purchases I've ever made. Period.

Shortly behind that are:
4. Battery Pack 2004 - it always runs in the background. But I hardly use it except for the Task button.
5. Pocketbible - NIV/Life Applic notes.
6. Harrison's manual which isn't really very good. At all. :?

Most important...

01. iPaq Backup (Sprite Backup)
02. WisBar Advanced 2

* Pocket Informant (but I keep swapping between Agenda Fusion and PI, I cant make up my mind which is best)
* Ubook - free
* Keepass - the best free wallet program available also has PC version. I keep both versions on a SD card that I can swap between the pc and ipaq. Single database single program...great
* Remote Display Control - for when its just easier to type on your computer
* Resco File explorer - why does microsoft leave so much functionality out of their standard programs
* Pocket MVP for video and music. Plays all my mp3 and wma + mpg. Have uninstalled windows media player
* Spb Pocket plus

1. ListPro Pro by Ilium Software (Mega Useful)
2. Sherlock (game) by Everett Kaser: I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
3. PocketInformant by WebIS with PocketBreeze by SBSH.net (can't really count them as two)
4. SPB Pocket Plus by SPB Software House
5. Resco Explorer
6. Repligo by Cerience (I have Adobe Acrobat 6, but only use it for work since it's a corporate standard; or if I need some advanced features such as security)

And if a 7th was allowed it would be MightySync: it synchronizes files to my storage card from multiple source locations on my laptop.

Top Apps:

PocketBreeze w/PocketContacts
Wisbar Advance
Pocket Informant
ListPro (though I'm using it less lately and just using Notes or Tasks)
FlexWallet
PocketPlayer

TripTracker, uBook, and a few others are also quite useful.

Top Games:

I've also been playing Sherlock a lot, but I just got my x50v and I think the graphics may become annoying on it. I may make my own set, but I'd REALLY like a VGA version.

Gamebox series of games from pdaMill
WordChallenge
TrafficMania
Pocket Commodore 64 Emulator

I'll be adding a bunch of applications soon, though, with the new PDA.

On my IPAQ 4155, Contacts & Calendar (Built-in), PIE PLUS (with Internet Explorer), RDcalc, Notes Today (unbelievable small program for $5 which allows you to jot notes on Today screen and you make the dimensions), Stock Manager

Also, Peacemaker Professional (for I own a Zire 72 too)

PS I used Pocket Informant for about a year. I consider it to be an over-bloated, super buggy piece of garbage software that caused me a hard reset and was incompatible with the built in calendar and contacts application.

PSS Very satisfied Ipaq 4155 user for 1 year. Palm OS is better; but one cannot beat the great wifi and bluetooth capabilities of the Ipaq 4155.
