Make a combination greater than two and destroy the chain before they reach the Inner Core. Unlock multiple levels in Arcade Mode and compete against others in Challenge Mode."</i><br /><br />This kind of reminds me of the old Centipede game -- only with real graphics and sound and options and challenge and...Well, maybe it's not EXACTLY like Centipede, but it looks pretty interesting. Personally, it's exciting sound effects that make arcade games funto me, so if Podz's sound is as great as it says, I may have to give it a try. As usual, there's a free demo and a full version available for $14.99 from the <a href="http://www.handango.com/brainstore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=142258">Handango site</a>.

To promote its first release and celebrate its introduction to handango, Acepocket has slashed the price of its latest game "PODZ" to $14.99 for a limited time only!!!!!!

"Podz" is an all-out arcade puzzler that has been taking PDA games-sites like ClickGamer and PocketGear by storm, with its spiffy graphics, awesome audio, adictive gameplay, oodles of bonus features and game modes. It has been reviewed as the "The Perfect game for any PDA!!!!"

AcePocket, the developers of "Podz" have been paying close attention to its users requests and suggestions, and as a result they have responded with a V1.4 of “PODZ” In this latest version, all menus are now quicker and more user friendly, an optional stylus-only control method has been included allowing for one handed playing, and of course the price tag has been snipped.

In-game screenshots of PODZ v1.4 in action 

PODZ is available at Acepocket, Handango, PocketGear, ClickGear and ClickGamer and is at the new price of $14.99.

Aye, Zuma's the most recent version I've seen of this style game, but it certainly didn't invent it (see comment about Frozen Bubble). ZUma's rather addicting, and Orbz looks fantastic. I'll have to give it a run on my PDA and see how well it plays with VGA.

Yeah, it is similar to Zuma, which Astraware is going to be releasing sometime in the future.

However, I think it is WAY better!! I loved the demo and had to buy the game the same day. The graphics are amazing, sounds are great and game play is very good. The only thing I don't like is that my had gets in the way of the Podz sometimes, but that's my big fat hands fault, not Podz. ;)

I am running the game on an iPaq 2215 and I have no slowdowns, bad images, or anything like that.

I cannot recommend this game enough, I got it a couple days ago and I am already stuck on level 3-3 with a ton more to go.

Good work Acepocket, looking forward to anymore games you release.

Cheers muaddip :)

Glad to hear you are enjoying it !!!!

You will soon be past 3.3 I assure you. A few people have said its quite tricky (immensly tricky some have said). However we wanted to make a game that lasted more than a few days, if we made it too easy you would have finished it too soon and got bored of it. Hopefully, this way you will have a few more weeks of joy and pulling your hair out :)

As an additional point, our game is based on a very old arcade game by the name of Puzloop. We were well into its developement before we even knew of Zuma. The reason the game is similarity to Zuma, is because Zuma is ALSO based on Puzloop.

With this in mind, I think its a little unfair for people to point the finger at us and say we have copied Astraware.

Anyway, its beneficial for you guys to be able to make a chioce of which game you wanna play :)

Thank you, AcePocket Staff.
