View Full Version : Activesync says contacts, tasks, and basically all pims are "not installed"

Hi, for some reason i cant sync my C500 or Jornada 928's PIM applications. Avantgo and file install work fine. I had this same problem when i was using my ipaq 2210 as well.
any ideas?

Which version of ActiveSync are you running?

What device are you using?
What time managment software are you using ? (outlook)
Because if you do not have outlook installed activesync will not sync those pim applications

usin m the latest outlook and the latest activesync. is there anyrrhing i havent done?

Cheers Since You've had this problem on several devices....I'm guessing its a PC problem not a PocketPC one.
If file transfer works then your cable/cradle is also fine.
See If a friend will loan you a computer to try out a fresh AS install and see if that works. Probably will.
My advice, uninstall outlook and AS and try again. If that doesn't work perhaps a full OS reinstall.
Oh yeah, turn off any firewalls....temporarily.

Ensure that ActiveSync is set to connect via the actual connection method you are using (e.g. serial port, USB, etc.). You can find these settings in ActiveSync (on the PC) in File - Connection Settings. This is a common problem that many people overlook.
