<a href="http://www.clickgamer.com"><img src="http://www.clickgamer.com/clickgamer_logo_white_small.png" /></a><br /><br /><span><b>Introduction</b></span><br /><br />Following from <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/articles.php?action=expand,32353">Part I</a>, the categories of games in this article will include the best role playing games (RPGs), best adventure games, best 3D games, best platformers, best space game, best game pack, best shooting game and best solitaire game. <br /><br /><span><b>Best Role Playing Games</b></span><br /><br /><b>Warring Nations</b><br /><br />Inscenic's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=254">Warring Nations</a> is without a doubt one of the best RPGs out there at the moment. In this game you manage resources, conquer new lands, build your castles and train/recruit troops until you rule the entire continent. An incredible blend of board game and turn-based strategy - it is great entertainment for any role playing enthusiast. The rules need to be learnt, but once you get going, it really takes everything you've got to beat it. Our very own <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/articles.php?action=expand,27697">Pocket PC thoughts</a> has reviewed Warring Nations and says that it is a game hard to put down.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=254"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/MediumBuild.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=254"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/Diplomacy.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=254"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/Recruit.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Green Myste</b><br /><br /><a href="http://www.pocketgamer.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3156">Pocketgamer.org</a> ranks the <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=87">Green Myste</a> 'up there in the higher echelon of PocketPC gaming'. In the mythical world of the Green Myste you meet up, and possibly invite various adventurers to join you during your quest. With loads of monsters to kill and traps to avoid, this game is a worth while entry in this category.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=87"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/green_myste.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Warlords II</b><br /><br />Warlords is coined as the most popular turn-based strategy series in PC history. Thanks to Pocket PC Studios, this magnificient RPG is now available on the Pocket PC. The coolest thing about <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=618">Warlords II</a> is the infinitely replayable random maps, as well as some planned scenarios as well. Another worthy addition to any RPG library. <a href="http://www.pdarcade.com/modules.php?name=Reviews2&rop=showcontent&id=257">pdarcade.com</a> gives this game a great big thumbs up! <br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=618"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/warlords_II.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><span><b>Best Adventure Games</b></span><br /><br /><b>Fade</b><br /><br />The sinister, dark and mysterious <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=107">Fade</a> was a technological revolution as far as quality pocket pc games were concerned when it first came out and most probably will remain a classic for years to come. Although the game engine only allows static views of the world, this does not take away the beauty and essence of the game. Fade uses a combination of pop-up characters and notably in the beginning of the game, text, to illustrate that things are going on while you move about. The visuals are incredibly subdued and have a dark feeling to them. 'The game blew me away!' says <a href="http://www.pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=reviews&id=146">Pocket Now</a>.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=107"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/choice.jpg" /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/betterview.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Gilbert Goodmate</b><br /><br />Z-Logic's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=137">Gilbert Goodmate</a> is a very beautiful well-implemented and fun adventure game. It is amazing how Z-Logics has managed to execute a PC port without sacrificing anything major. With over 40 hours of gameplay, this game is another classic in the making for Pocket PCs. This game has got a good storyline - with some interesting twists in it, great humor (I couldnt stop laughing at one point) and very challenging gameplay. <a href="http://www.pocketgamer.org/showthread.php?threadid=3318">Pocketgamer.org</a> gave this a 10 out of 10 rating because it is so cool <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=137"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/05_Sheep.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=137"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/02_Cutscene02.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=137"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/06_Princess.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=137"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/03_Cutscene03.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><span><b>Best 3D Games</b></span><br /><br /><b>Crazy Kart</b><br /><br />Int13's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=69">Crazy Kart</a> is a fabulous 3D racing game (great for those of you who love Mario Kart!) - with intuitive controls, a clean and polished interface, and assembly language game engine that gives it such a smooth gameplay. The 3D cartoony figures are brilliantly done. The game contains five worlds and twelve beautifully handcrafted maps. For those who are trying to save up for christmas, I would like to point out that Crazy Kart now costs less than $5.00 at <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=69">clickgamer.com</a> <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=69"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/crazy_kart_01.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=69"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/crazy_kart_03.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Anthelion</b><br /><br />PDAMill's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=628">Anthelion</a> has an incredible 3D engine, involving and humurous storyline and fun gameplay. Not to mention that the sounds and music are superbly done. PDAGold says that it is an amazing action game with stunning in game visuals. <a href="http://pocketmatrix.com/reviews/anthelion/">PocketMatrix.com/PocketGamer.org</a> rated the game 10 out of 10 for sheer excellence!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=628"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/anthelion.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Interstellar Flames</b><br /><br />In Xen Games' <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=366">Interstellar Flames</a>, a vast horde of alien battleships are approaching our solar system. Due to maintenance problems only one fighter craft is ready to defend the planet. Yes, that's you. and you alone! <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" /> Fly dangerous missions against huge battlecruisers, dogfight with enemy fighters in asteroid fields and destroy the alien fleet before it enslaves Earth. Interstellar Flames is a visually stimulating and fun 3D combat game - truly a worthy candidate in this category.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=366"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/interstellar_flames.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><span><b>Best Space Games</b></span><br /><br /><b>Space Treker 3</b><br /><br />SunDialSoft's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=679">Space Treker 3</a> is by far the most indepth space adventure game that I have come across. You get to choose from one of 5 ship types (Carrier, Salvage, Fighter, Explorer and Colony) and explore a vast galaxy with hundreds of inhabited systems full of trading opportunities and populated by numerous alien cultures (many of whom will prove hostile). Can your skill as a trader, your tenacity as an explorer and your cunning as a fighter guide you through the worlds of Space Treker to achieve the ultimate rank? You must equip and repair your ship, discover resources, trade at a profit, defeat your enemies and join the guild of your choice if you are to succeed. Another great thing about this game is that each time you begin a new game all systems, ships, names and trade goods are renewed to ensure a long gameplay lifetime. You can save the current game to restart at a later date and the keys used can be re-mapped to suit your preferences. If you are a Star Trek fan, you will really really love this game! <img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif" /><br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=679"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/shotsect1.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=679"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/impulse.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=679"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/scan.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=679"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/tact2.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Strange Adventures in Infinite Space</b><br /><br />Astraware's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=561">Strange Adventures In Infinite Space</a> is different every time it is played. Stars, planets, black holes, nebula mass, alien patrols, items, lifeforms and other encounters are randomized for each new Strange Adventure. It comes with 21 different ship types, over 60 different weapons, drives, shields, gadgets and artefacts, 18 alien lifeforms, 17 different planets and star types and 7 unique alien races. With an average playing time of 5-20 minutes per game, you will definitely get your money's worth.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=561"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/screenshot_240_320_01.jpg" /></a> <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=561"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/screenshot_240_320_02.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><span><b>Best 3D Games</b></span><br /><br /><b>Toki Tori</b><br /><br />In AIM's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=19">Toki Tori</a>, you are armed with an arsenal of 10 different tools and weapons. The game contains four mysterious worlds, offering over 60 levels of exciting platform and puzzle action. You will really need all your brain cells to get you through all of the levels!!! <a href="http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/games/toki_tori.htm">pdabuyersguide</a> rates this game an incredible 20 out of 20!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=19"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/toki_tori.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Moon Child</b><br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=563">Moon Child</a> is an oldskool platformer by Klaar - with 13 levels and 4 worlds to complete the game, this is true platformer classic for the Pocket PC. <a href="http://www.pocketpclouisville.com/reviews/moon_child_review.htm">PocketPC Louisville</a> coins this game as one of the best platformers they have ever seen!<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=563"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/moon_child.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><b>Blade Of Betrayal</b><br /><br />In HPT Interactive's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=68">Blade of Betrayal</a>, you play the role of Spencer Corinth -- on a personal quest to discover the mystery behind your father's death. Your life is in danger as you fall deep into a chasm of lies and deceit, fueling your quest for personal vengeance. Explore an array of environments, from building tops, to underwater mine fields, to mechanical wastelands where you will discover numerous hidden power-ups to assist you in your journey. <a href="http://www.pdabuyersguide.com/games/blade_of_betrayal.htm">pdabuyersguide</a> rates the highly sylish world created in this game.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=68"><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/sponsorimages/sponsoredarticles/clickgamer2/blade_of_betrayal.gif" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><span><b>Best Game Pack</b></span><br /><br /><b>K&amp;G's Arcade</b><br /><br />In Omnytex's <a href="http://www.clickgamer.com/moreinfo.htm?pid=352">K&amp;G's Arcade</a>, you play the part of Henry Miller. mild-mannered farmer from 17th-century England. You find yourself the captive of two wise-cracking aliens, Krelmac &amp; Gentoo. They challenge you to escape their maze-like ship by finding your way through the five levels of play. With 26 cleverly constructed mini games to play as you play out your adventure, this is an amazing game pack by any standards! <a href="http://www.tekguru.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=17680#17680">TekGuru</a> praises this game as sheer nostalgia done right! I think I found a typo, the title of the 5th category should be: Best 2D Games.

Well, I can vouch for Warring Nations, Anthelion and Interstellar Flames. Hours of game play. As for Warring Nations, let me point out that the 5th map (islandia) is available. Yay. Lets hope that the maps are coming out at a faster rate.

Now, has anyone played with Fade yet ? Kindly share experiences.

Even though it's a paid advertisment, most of them are pretty on the dot, can't find complaint with any of the games.

I still think that Age of Empires and Everquest have to make the list. There are many very popular games that didn't make the cut to. I would like to see a list of the best selling games.

Still missing Rayman Ultimate.

After I got my Qtek 2020 (XDA II) I've rediscovered this game. With the two buttons on the top of the device this game is suddenly 5 times more playable! Now I don't need to use the pen anymore 8)

I do say that the Solitaire award is spot-on. That's the best investment I've made into my Pocket PC, other than my 4.0Student planner.

I do say that the Solitaire award is spot-on. That's the best investment I've made into my Pocket PC, other than my 4.0Student planner.
And I TOTALLY DISAGREE!

While the selected solitaire offers without a doubt the most different solitaire game variations most people (including my wife who loves to play solitaire) will only play a few different solitaire variations and if they are available then it is the graphics, animation, and sound offered by the program that make it the BEST (IMHO).

And for that you just can't beat GameBox Solitaire (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=C7XC4BA99489432828X7567F6538EEBB&platformId=2&siteId=1&osId=119&productId=77679&sectionId=0&catalog=30&txtSearch=solitaire) and GameBox Solitaire II (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=C7XC4BA99489432828X7567F6538EEBB&platformId=2&siteId=1&osId=119&productId=121976&sectionId=0&catalog=30&txtSearch=solitaire) by PDAmill (http://www.pdamill.com/).
The graphics, animation and sound are simply fantastic.

Mates, when you mention that you miss this or that game... you're right. But I am not surprised that the purpose of advertising is not to tell you what's right but what's best for the advertiser.

hmm... whatever happened to RocketElite Gold?

Nice to see pdamill finally having their fair share of coverage. Their games really are well designed and very pretty.

Not the most comprehensive nor extensive coverage of the games available for PPC (and believe me, I've played a lot of them) but some good recommendations there all the same.

40Student is also close to the top of my list but I just wish they would update it for VGA so it could take better advantage of it and add some features. I'm not slamming the program, but after a while, it is common to find lots of places a program could be improved, even if it is nearly perfect already.
