Searching on the Forums

When I do a search, I'm not able to return to the search listing.

For example, I'll enter "Ipaq 5455 wi-fi" in the search query section (searching for all terms) and hit the search button. I glance through the 91 listings and find one I want to read. I read it and decide to go back to the search query to modify my search parameters. I hit the back button and get the ever-annoying "The page cannot be displayed... blah blah blah"

Why does this happen? Is it a setting on my CPU that's doing it or the site?

Things like this happen from time to time. Its usually just a problem with communication between you and the server.

If you want to avoid clicking back and forward, what I usually do is open each result I want to view in a new window. Just right-click and select "Open in new window", or click the middle-mouse button if you're a Firefoxer.
