What version did you download?

If in doubt, you can download it from Handango here. (http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?productType=2&optionId=1_2_2&jid=XXB242345E6DA7D37AFXDEAX28EE91CE&platformId=2&siteId=1&productId=27174&sectionId=0&catalog=30&txtSearch=interkey)

It appears to have been updated to the latest 1.2 version.

Their site does not seem to mention support for high resolution. They only mention support for WM2003SE.

I'm not sure where Jonathan got his headline changes from. :?

We were sent an email with a press release from Paragon Software, which reads in part:

The new versions of the software are compatible with Windows
Mobile Second Edition and work nice in hi-res landscape mode.

I don't have PPC2003SE or a VGA device yet, so I can't try this out.

I have emailed Paragon Software asking for clarification.

Mobile Second Edition and work nice in hi-res landscape mode.

Hmmm, that is a bit of an oddity within itself. If paris hasn't been able to get full VGA support, I doubt it has full VGA supoort at this stage, and thus their statement of work nice in hi-res landscape mode is subjective in its own right.

Perhaps it will be addressed in a future version, but any information you can provide us with Jonathan would be great. :)

The trial version is not VGA aware since the typical dialog is displayed once you set it up to adice that the app may not display correctly bla bla bla.

As i said before the trial versions i have downloaded from thier site, handango and pocket gear have an installation file dated on 21/06/2004.

If indeed there is a new version which supports hi resolution then probably they have not compiled it as a trial as well.

That seems the most likely explanation. I'll post when Paragon Software get back to me (or they could post here....).

The new version of Interkey Portable now supports the Ipaq Micro Keyboard for Ipaq 4150/2200.

However, there seems to be a bug with the F key, which I have verified both in Hebrew and Greek layout. When pressing the F key on the hardware keyboard, English F is displayed regardless of the chosen language.

Can anyone verify if this problem is only withe the Ipaq Micro Keyboard, or with all keyboards using greek/hebrew layout

The SE version of Interkey came out in the end of September, so the one from June probably doesn't support hi-res.

And now they have just released the version of Language Extender that supports SE.

Paris, what VGA PPC are you testing this on? Your avatar is of a a 4700, but your sig says you have a H4150.

Anyone here who knows wheter or not there's support for the targus bluetooth keyboard in the new driver?

My next PPC purchase may very well depend on the ability to use the new keyboard or if I have to reuse my old stowaway. :?

I don't think it's of much use to try and ask Paragon - I've already once bought their product on the pretense that something was supported (I asked them and they answered positive) only to find out it wasn't.

Had to buy the product again in a later version from them, to get the feature I was promised in the first place...

So has anyone else tried this on a VGA PPC? How did you get on?

Jonathon, I've had no previous versions of the InterKey keyboard on my device.

I did not say that it does not Work with the HX4700 BUT i said that it is not VGA aware, i.e not use double pixeling to diplay the aplication. Currently when you install it it will display the dialog after the installation which says "whis aplication might not work properly bla bla bla.." and the aplication will look exacly the same as on a QVGA display. So its NOT hi-res aware as they stated.

Also the date on the demo is months ago and must not be the latest version since their press release was weeks ago. Trial versions i have downloaded from thier site, handango and pocket gear have an installation file dated on 21/06/2004. Their press release says that it includes full support for PPC2003SE, including hi-res landscape mode. Well it does not support hi-res!

So.

1. Is the demo compiled using the latest release of interkey keyboard? if so why is it dated 21/06/2004.

2. Also why does the press release state that it will work in hi-res while once you install it the application will say that it may not display properly? And the actual application will be double pixeled? Also they say it will work in hi-res landscape mode while it will display exacly the same as on portrait mode and wont even stretch in landscape mode.

Thanks Jonathon, I apreciate your trying to figure out whats going on.
