Cannot Instal Activesync on Windows Xp

I have tried installing it directly from the cd and downloading it from microsoft but it just won't install. On the cd when i hit next to install it simply doesn't do it, and when i have downloaded to packed file, when it unpacks nothing changes. Please help.

Do you have administrator privileges when you install it?

If you are admin, then try clearing out all temporary folders. E.g. C:\Windows\Temp, and/or C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Temp\ . Do a restart and try again.

If that doesn't help, try closing Explorer.exe after launching the installation... (sometimes that helps as well... 8O)
