Okay, so a co-worker is thinking of jumping ship from her dead Palm PDA to a Dell x30.

At work, we have Novell Groupwise and no Outlook. Currently, she has all her info on PalmDesktop s/w. Is there someway for her to sync a PPC device to PalmDesktop (I imagine not) OR is there an included version of Outlook with PPC's? or can she use another PC PIM to manage with info and sync to her x30?

Hi there

New PocketPCs ship with Outlook 2002 on the bundled CD. This is a fully licensed, legit version.

It is possible to sync with groupwise using Intellisync from Pumatech Here's the Data Sheet (http://www.intellisync.com/go/products/client-synchronization/intellisync-handheld-edition/requirements/index.cfm))

Along with the other info, as she is using Palm desktop for her own stuff now, Pocket Mirror ships with Palms, so she should have access to that. (Or from anybody that remembers where the distro CDs that came with their Palm or Handspring are)

What that does is allow syncing a Palm with Outlook. So buy the X30, load Outlook (that comes with it), load Pocket Mirror and sync the Palm info into Outlook. Then sync the X30 with Outlook. Transfer done.
