Speech-to-Text Engines for Pocket PC OS

Hi,

Does anyone know if MS or other vendor has a true "speech to text" conversion program for pocketpc? Need 3rd party app for project we are building. Need to speak into pocket pc via recorder or headphone and have it convert to text into my target window app. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. thanks

Nope, doesn't exist yet. Only speeech input things are command based. It recognizes what you told it to do and it does it, within the bounds of the app. Dictation isn't there yet.

The closest thing so far is the MS Speech server thing. As I understand part of it, with some effort, can take speech input, digitize it (which the recorder already does), transfer that to a real server over WiFi, maybe GPRS, and the server does the heavy digitized speech to text lifting, and the output text is sent back to the PPC the way the speech came over.
