I'm planning a trip to Russia and hope to take my Jornada along. Seeing as I have the North American power plug, what sorts of things do I need to be thinking about to power and recharge my Jornada there. Also thinking about recharging my digital camera. Thanks!

Remember that Russia uses a 220 volt system and a round two-pin plug, a European adapter should do the trick in most sockets. Make sure that your power bricks all support 220-240 volts, this is important. It should be written right on the brick.

I'm not sure about your Jornada power brick, but most digital camera power bricks are fine as far as voltage is concerned and with the right adapter you should be able to just plug in and charge.

Whereabouts are you going? I lived in Moscow for 12 years I might be able to give you some tips...

Thanks! The powerbrick says input: 100-240v

Appreciate the offer. I'm going to St. Petersburg. Beautiful city, I understand.

In that case, buy lots of Spb (www.spbsoft.com) software before you go ;)

(in my experience, Spb Time is actually quite useful when travelling)

Wouldn't it make more sense to buy it in the city that it's named for?

Actually, I have Spb Time. I'll make sure to have it loaded! :)

Wonder if I could find it on a street kiosk...maybe at the Heritage museum gift shop?
