My 2215 is less than 1 week out of warranty and my directional button broke. It only works up/down. When I pulled it off, I noticed the housing that fits over the systemboard "joystick" has one of the 4 walls broken off. HP wants $100-$125 to fix this.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could get a new button.
Thanks. :(

If you are literally a week out of warranty, I'd make a bit of a stink with HP and insist they stand behind their product. If all they need to do is send you a new button for you to fit on, I'd keep moving up the ladder until you find somebody who will help.

just look on ebay for a 221X with a broken screen. swaping out the motherboard is a matter of unscrewing a few screws, really simple stuff

The same thing happend to mine, just a week out of warranty. Anyways, I went to the pocket pc techs website, the guys that do the memory upgrades, and they sold me a new thumb pad for $15 USD. Not bad. And the new one works like a charm...
