I don't see any way to send the Internet from the phone to the laptoo; only vice versa. Is there a way? There must be a way.

Yes, if you have bluetooth on your laptop, you should be able to connect to your iPaq to use the GPRS Internet. Here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=272056#272056) are the instructions on how to connect a Pocket PC to a bluetooth phone. You may need to tweak those for connecting from a laptop.
If you have WiFi on your laptop, you should be able to share Internet connection on your laptop and connect to it as an ad-hoc network from your iPaq.

ok ive been working on this. so far ive been able to get a bluetooth network going between the two, but when i follow the dialup networking instructions i get "The line is busy". im not sure what to make of it. i dont know the correct number to dial for the 6315 but even bogus numbers return the same error. thanks for your help with this btw.

if you are running windows mobile 2003 then it should be the same instructions.

The program on the xda II that the article describes is one that is only specific to the imate/xda II....I know bc I used to own one!

So no it is only specific to the imate/xda II not the ipaq h6315.

Well I got it to work using these steps.... kind of...

1] Pair phone with Pocket PC as a Dial-up Networking connection
2] When you step through the "New Dial-Up connection" wizard, give it a name (like t-mobile)
3] Ignore the country code
4] Ignore the area code
5] Enter *99# in the phone number field
6] Tap "OK"
7] When the network logon screen comes up, ignore the User name field
8] Ignore the Password field
9] Ignore the Domain field
10] Tap the "Save Password" box
11] Tap "OK"
12] You will then get the "Connecting" dialog bubble, and then you'll be online.

It dials out and connects. I played with it a bit and could get google.com and yahoo.com to come up but the connection kept disconnecting after a bit. I wasn't sure if it was using my minutes up because it actualy dialed and number instead of the GPRS icon connecting but I checked my minutes after I connected and it didn't go up.

I think the only other way to do it is pair it up with networking but then you PPC would have to have some kind of DHCP server ...

I'm pretty sure that's a known issue w/this phone that has been acknowledged by T-mobile.

See here for pages of discussion about it: http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=447019

Hope they are working on a fix!

some of the replies in this thread don't make sense. He is not talking about pairing a PPC with a bluetooth phone, he is talking about pairing gprs with a laptop from a ppc phone.
