Not only do they have some nice side-by-side shots of the hardware itself, they take closeups of the screen so you get an idea of the VGA effect.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/parekh-20040903-LooxComparisonPics.jpg" /><br /><br />This shot, with the 720 in the middle, shows that it's pretty compact compared to previous-generation Pocket PCs like the Casio E200 on the left.

Wow, I didn't care about not having a VGA screen until I saw these comparison shots. Now I've got screen envy. 8O

Oh, just saw what you said on FirstLoox.

Looks like Expansys USA (http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=LOOX_720) is selling it, but for $672.95! Ouch. I wonder if it has an American warranty. Maybe I'll wait for them to release it in the US, if they do...

The warranty is a worldwide one.

OK, I'll admit, that is tempting.
But... first of all, $673 plus shipping is a lot. I could get the hx4705 for less than that.
Also, I think the hx4705 actually does have some nice features itself (like flip case, magnesium body, maybe the bigger screen).
But it would be nice to get my PDA now, rather than wait potentially a few months. In fact, it may even negate the added cost, since I could most likely get more for my 2215 now than when the hx4705 comes out. (And the camera and CIR are definitely tempting...)

Hmm, this is interesting. Do you think it will come out in the US soon, and if it does, will it be noticibly less expensive (since it's not imported)?

I still can't get used to the ultra high dpi value, and to me LOOX 720 looks on most of my photos like it was two times bigger. ;)

I'm glad you like them, surely more will come as soon as I get my review device.

You know, that supposed design of the new axim looks just like this loox. We may all get it here for less cash and under a different name. :devilboy:
