Help - tips for switching phones

I'm selling my old PPCPhone (XDA I) and getting an XDA II.

I've got everthing synchronized between my PPC and Desktop.

Is switching as easy as just synchronizing my new PPCP with the desktop? will that automatically update all my information?

Mainly its contacts, calendar, tasks, notes and files??

or are there special hidden things (like databases) or other settings i have to back up and restore maually?

any helps on things i should be careful about and tips would be greatly be appreciated.
