Last nite I was encoding video for my pocket pc and i ran out of space on my 256 mb card. i decided to call it a nite and plugged up my Zen MP3 player for charging. then it hit me. why don't I use some of the 60 gigs on my player as storage for my PPC? i can do it for windows desktop, why not ppc or other portable devices?

I know with usb-to-go there's that power issue. but what about bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi on my player? Like a portable Wireless NAS. this way I can share and stream anything on that portable 60 gig hd to my PPC and never worry about space!

anybody makes something close to that? is this even possible? am I crazy or is this a good idea?

I see you have a Tosh E805.

Why don't you get a USB host cable or the presentation pack and some USB mass storage drivers.

And you should be good to go.

That's actually kinda cool, and at a reasonable price. I've got an old 30GB hard drive that would work pretty nicely.

that's friggin perfect... almost. it doesn't run on battery and it's not portable.

pretty good though

yes yes my boy. nice alternative. Been Googling this driver and so far nothing.

Anyone happen to find success obtaining and using USB Mass Storage Drivers for Windows Mobile 2003 (or SE)???

You can buy some mass storage drivers for 2003 here: http://www.anypakusa.com/ I don't know if they'll work with SE though. I checked on Brighthand for 2003 drivers and found this thread: http://discussion.brighthand.com/showthread.php?s=dc8a385ed33a4702c82c7371b974b7ea&threadid=94059&highlight=mass+storage+drivers+2003
