Unlike others working from a full laptop, Andre has attached his antenna to a Compaq PDA, mounted on a custom frame that makes it easy to hold. The PDA is running AirMagnet, a commercial tool that helps track down the physical location of a signal. Andre will be able to use his antenna like a Geiger counter, pinpointing the direction any signal comes from. As an infosecurity expert and previous WiFi contest winner, Andre looks like an early favorite to win.
