The questions start out fairly easy- but over the 20 levels get harder and harder and the time to answer them gets shorter and shorter (but all questions are certainly accomplishable)."</i><br /><br />This looks like a fairly straightforward application, aimed at improving your addition and multiplication skills. I haven't tried it, mainly because there's no free demo available. But, at only <a href="http://www.handango.com/brainstore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=130324">$4.99 at Handango</a>, it might be worth trying.<br /><br />I have a bit of a pet peeve, though. Maybe I shouldn't let it distract me so much, but when I see many, many grammatical errors in both a program's description and within the program itself, it kinda turns me off. I think it's because my dad is an Engligh professor, so maybe I'm being too strict.

I agree. I would expect any educational application to use the correct grammar.

Anyway this seems a bit restrictive for me. Flashcard applications are much better and so versatile "Flash Cards" (http://www.bmanser.com/ppc.htm) is a nice example. Designing your own questions and answers is the way to go.

Plus the color and other UI design choices. If you can't look at a program, it's not very useful.

I don't think you're being too strict. There ought to be high standards expected of those who claim to be professional.

My pet peeve is looking at a sign in a sports crowd saying, "Your No. 1!" My daughter is 32 now and is always reminding me how I told her that "YOU'RE" is a contraction for "You are."

And when did things become "so fun" instead of "so much fun."

You know, I may try something like this when I have some spare brain cycles. My math skills are pitifully slow. Never learned my times tables as a kid, and I'm still hurting from it.

"Engligh" Brad? How's that pronounced, 'inglii' like 'sigh' or 'inglig' like 'jig'?

I was pretty sure that was the joke. :P I've "restored" the typo until Brad can be the authoritative answer... ;)
