StanaPhone uses Voice over IP (VoIP) technology called SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and works with standard personal computers running Windows 98, 2000 or XP or even a Pocket PC. Incoming calls to a StanaPhone number are free and unlimited regardless of their origin or the user's credit balance. Stanaphone assigns a US number to every account, and users can receive calls from other landline or mobile phones to this number, on a computer or Pocket PC."</i><br /><br />The new version of StanaPhone includes two new features: call forwarding and free voice mail.<br /><br />• When a StanaPhone user is not able to accept an incoming call, the calling party can leave a voice mail message and these messages are sent as voice file attachments to the e-mail address associated with the user's account.<br />• When call forwarding is enabled, the call is automatically transferred to the phone number of the user's choice. <br /><br />Making and receiving calls with your Pocket PC is getting easier all the time. With all of this fancy technology, it's only a matter of time before someone invents a routine to trap the souls of telemarketers the second they hit your line.
