Does anyone know of a good crossword prog? I guess with some of them you can download new crossword puzzles from various newspaper sites (though which ones, I do not know). Thx.

One for sale from from Stand Alone Software: http://standalone.com/pocketpc/crossword_puzzles/

And the one I use, a beta which is freeware: http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=648

For puzzles, go to http://www.cruciverb.com/.

You can dl the LA Times, NY Sun, and CrosSynergy puzzles free every day. (NY Sun not published on the weekends.)

Mobile Crossword is SUPERB! It's easy to use, and includes MANY crosswords. :D It also works with SE and it is pretty cheap ($12)

I second this. It kept me going through many boring Physics classes last semester.

Anybody know of any good PPC software to help/cheat with the crosswords. Something where you can enter A*E**A and it gives a list of all the words that fit (so you can spot the right answer - avesta - among them)?

Try TranCreative's WordBook. As well as a being a good disctionary, it has various search capabilities of the wildcard and anagram varieties, and the ability to load additional wordlists.

On a related note, does anyone know of any CryptoGraph-type games for the PPC? I imagine it's too specialized, but my wife is hooked on them and it would be a great way for me to get her using her 1910 more. ;)

you can all go to h3ll. I didn't need to spend another $20...

i bought Stand Alone's game... and I don't even do crosswords. at least I had the 25% coupon. but hey, I need to do stuff like that more than other games, so it's money (well) spent. :?
