WOW. I don't know how long this has been out (or if it is actually avail). The Panasonic toughbook P1 has EVERYTHING that I ever wanted as an all in one device....except it is WAY expensive. yes it is a little big but it has everything. Appears to be a business only/gov use tool. If they only made it in a non-rugged version at a cheaper price it could beat out the MDIII and Treo600...Oh well maybe we will see them on ebay in a year or two.

built-in backlit keyboard(RIM like)

Looks like a neat niche device. A bit clunky though, as you pointed out.

Expensive and heavy, but a great device. I have been evaluating this unit for my company's delivery drivers. For around AUS$3k not a consumer device.
